LONGMEADOW RESCUE RANCH - Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is one of the largest facilities in the country for the rehabilitation of starving, neglected and abused horses and farm animals. This facility is utilized to temporarily foster the animals impounded as evidence by the Society's Statewide Investigation Unit and law enforcement agencies. This program allows the mistreated animals to be rehabilitated while awaiting adoption placement. Clients served: approximately 7,537; Expenses: $897,883; Revenues: $50,226 COMMUNITY PROGRAMS - Community programs include spay/neuter services, care of abused, sick or injured animals, foster programs, behavior and training programs, and other services provided for pets and pet owners at various facilities. Expenses: $369,710 GIFT SHOP - The Gift Shops, in the Society's adoption centers, sell pet supplies, Society logo merchandise and other pet-related items. Expenses: $62,927; Revenues: $96,659 EDUCATION - The Education Office is responsible for providing training for people on pet-related topics focused on developing attitudes of respect and responsibility. This humane education helps the Society impact the community. Clients served: approximately 24,626. Expenses: $187,633 CAROL GATES THROOP MEMORIAL PARK - The Memorial Park and Columbarium provides a setting for pet burials and celebrates the lives of pets and people. Expenses: $56,972; Revenues: $33,410 VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS - The Volunteer Office is responsible for the placement of volunteers into such programs as daily dog walkers and gift shop volunteers and to foster animals in their homes. The Office also places volunteers in the Adoption Centers, Medical Centers and Longmeadow Rescue Ranch. Expenses: $80,295; Revenues: $3,077
