	Annual Membership Meeting, Two Educational Programs (Annual Educational Programs are held in conjunction with the annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology). Generally organized into three or four consecutive time lines of courses and workshops, the programs generally run from Saturday through Wednesday of Academy week. Attendees register for the specific courses they wish to attend, and the overall registration fees are dependent upon the course hours and workshops selected. Typical OPS Annual Educational Programs include a Scientific Session of papers presented on a variety of ophthalmic imaging techniques and innovations, courses on new and emerging technologies, and social functions including a Reception and Awards Banquet. The Annual Business Meeting of the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society is held during the Annual Educational Program. The Mid-Year courses also sponsored by the OPS, often in collaboration with regional chapters of the OPS. These courses are often centered on a particular theme like Anterior Segment Imaging, Digital Imaging, or Fundus Photography and Fluorescein Angiography. Normally presented as a logical progression of lectures and workshops, registrants are charged a single registration fee for the entire program.

	The OPS BOC serves as the formal body responsible for the certification of retinal angiographers, ophthalmic photographers and ophthalmic tomographers. The BOC's foremost certification is the Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) program. The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited the CRA program in 1999, and reaccredited it in 2005. The BOC is also a member of The Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE). CRA Certification requires submission of work examples that meet established standards as well as successful completion of written and performance examinations. To date, more than 740 ophthalmic photographers have attained the Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) credential. The BOC launched a certification program for Ocular Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT-C) Imaging in July of 2007. OCT-C certification requires submission of work examples that meet established standards and successful completion of a written examination.

	The Journal of Ophthalmic Photography is a peer-reviewed journal published two times per year by the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society. In production since 1980, the Journal has featured articles on fundus camera operation, slitlamp biomicrography, new instrumentation, case presentations, and innovative techniques in ophthalmic diagnostic imaging. The OPS Newsletter is electronically published six times per year. The newsletter contains OPS announcements, biographical sketches of members, classified listings and other information of interest to diagnostic imagers.
