What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Provides financial support for members on strike.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 To guarantee loans for members of the National Education Association ("NEA") and Participating Affiliates required during employment crises through the pooling of credit of the NEA and the Participating Affiliates. NEEAF provides a vehicle for interest free loans through lending institutions to members of NEA who are engaged in a work stoppage. 2/3rds of the interest is paid by the state affiliate and 1/3rd is paid by NEEAF. ½ of any loan defaults are guaranteed by NEEAF and the other half is guaranteed by the state affiliate.
