	Supported community activites local charities high school scholarships and supported the economic development in the Jefferson County Missouri area The club provided assistance to numerous local charities which included the Boy Scouts of Amer ica Ladies of Charity a local helping hand group Teen Challenge of St Louis Alcohol and Substance Abuse rehab center for young men and women and numerous other causes which serve our area The largest single donation was to Rotary Internationa l for the Paul Harris International fund New in 2011-2012 the taxpayer purchased 90 smokecarbon decetors which were installed in homes in area with the assistance of the High Ridge Fire Department Continuing a tradition at Thanksgiving the taxpayer purchased one hundred twenty frozen turkeys which were given to the Cedar Hill Peace Pantry and the High Ridge - Feed My People Pantry for distribution to their clients Thankgiving morning a complete Thanksgiving meal was prepared to fe ed over one hundred area residents including turkey and dressing mashed potatoes and gravy and pumpkin and pecan pie The taxpayer continued the support of local scholars with the awarding of seven scholarships to deserving young persons Sch olarships totaling 3750 were awarded This year the club supported an international exchange student a young lady from Brazil She was a blessing to everyone
