What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? AASCB is an association of bodies which are legally responsible for the registration, certification, or licensing of counselors within their jurisdictions in the United States of America. The organization is dedicated to the concept that individuals who have demonstrated competence to render counseling services are entitled to be licensed, certified or registered as counselors by its member boards.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The AASCB annual conference was held in Charleston SC in January 2012. The conference provided a forum to approximately 80 attendees representing 43 state licensing boards to share ideas, discuss issues and challenges of the profession. The AASCB also produced a semi-annual newsletter (The Liason) and a conference edition of its newsletter.
