| Form 990EZ, Part I, Line 16, Other Expenses: Information Technology $88 Conference Expense $3,040 Public Presentations $3,890 Insurance $1,237 Total Other Expenses $8,255 Schedule A, Line 11h - Info About Supported Organizations: Healthy Tarrant County Collaboration (HTCC) was organized and is operated as a supporting organization pursuant to IRC Section 509(a)(3). HTCC does not provide direct monetary support to the entities listed on Schedule A, however, HTCC does provide support in the form of intangible benefits related to the improvement of the health of the citizens in Tarrant County. HTCC provides a platform through which hospital, public health, and university members can work together to further mutual goals achieved through implementing community health improvement strategies. Working collaboratively provides a compounding impact that would not be possible if each institution were working alone. Current projects include: 1. Knowledge building with people one-on-one. HTCC works with children aged 4-13 attending the Como Community Summer Camp to increase their knowledge of good nutrition and physical activity, and how those contribute to good health. 2. Partnering with other community organizations for small group interventions. HTCC works with area churches to implement evidence-based educational programming aimed at reducing risk for and improving management of diabetes. The program is infused throughout the church's regular activities to reinforce classroom learning. 3. Improving organizational policies and professional practices to impact larger numbers of people. HTCC is working with its member organizations and health care providers to help implement effective workplace lactation support programs that both meet all federal guidelines and also are fully embraced and endorsed by co-workers and supervisors. The aim is to increase the rates of exclusive breastfeeding of infants in order to address an array of health matters. |
