1	Briefly describe the organization’s mission or most significant activities: The mission of the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW)is multi faceted. Its first objective is to protect and preserve the animals of Indiana, while safeguarding the rights of responsible animal owners and professionals working in related fields. This objective can be obtained through education provided by ICAW and other entities, and by fostering sound legislation and regulatory actions covering this diverse industry. Educating the public regarding companion animal resources and activities of paramount importance to ICAW. It also is focusing on establishing certification standards for an individual to become a Companion Animal Specialist (PCAS), and implementing a program to grant such certifi- cation. Another mission objective of ICAW is to develop and maintain a Code of Ethics for animal husbandry and to establish procedures for disciplining any of its members who violate these ethical standards.

	The Indiana Council For Animal Welfare (ICAW) continued to provide educational seminars to its members and other stake holders of the animal husbandry industry. The governing board reviews it before it is filed. Part VI, Line 19 - How Does the Board of Directors make ICAW's governing documents, conflict-of-interest policy, and financial statements available to the public? The Board intends to provide its governing documents on its website in future. For now, its Articles of Incorporation are available for free on Indiana Secretary of State's website. The By-laws can be reviewed on request, along with its financial statements. Since the organization is still in its infancy, the book keeping is performed by a volunteer, using Quickbooks. Consequently, monthly financial statements are usually not available, although year-end Quickbooks statements are. Since no formal, written conflict-of-interest policy yet exists, it cannot be made available. The Board intends to adopt such a policy and have it on its website in the future.
