Pt XII, Line 1   Method of Accounting. It is the VFW's policy to use
    the cash method of accounting and in addition, to
    record the unrealized gain or loss in the value
    of the marketable securities.
Part III, Line 4a   Buddy Poppy distribution program- It is the VFW's
    longstanding traditional patriotic program service
    function to distribute buddy poppies to the general
    public. The purpose of this is to increase awareness
    of the missions of the VFW. While donations are
    sometimes accepted when delivering the buddy poppies,
    the poppies are distributed free of charge in many cases.
    This Organization acts as the distribution agent
    to provide the poppies to all of the VFW posts in
    Virginia. The VFW posts then distribute the poppies
    to the general public.
