What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To support and encourage tourism and visitation of accomodations in South Miami-Dade County, Florida
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Tropical Everglades Visitor Association (TEVA) operates a visitor center that helps over 85,000 walk-in tourists each year. In 2013, the visitor center will mark 25 years having helped nearly 2 million visitors and residents. The Visitor Center is staffed by 34 senior volunteers. TEVA helps to promote the area through several publications. The Director sits on several community boards and TEVA actively works with the 2 local National Parks and is working to promote agri-tourism for the area. Publications are offered in different languages and TEVA works to promote the area through member businesses.
