What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Chapter endorses the Mission and Goals of IARP, which are to enhance the competency of private rehabilitation professionals, advance the professional field, improve the effectiveness of state level affiliates, and lead in the resolution of public policy issues that affect private sector rehabilitation. To pursue this purpose, the chapter will work in concert with IARP.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 WA-IARP provides valuable training for its members for the purpose of maintaining high standards and best practices for serving persons with disabilities. We provide a means for networking among colleagues and support agencies. We hold monthly meetings and seminars to promote improvements in vocational rehabilitation strategies, case management and community recourses. Board members regularly meet with governing agencies such as the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries to improve service delivery systems and public policy. We award grants for individual members to attend national training conferences.
