SchI_P01_S00_L02	Schedule I, Part I, Line 2	Scholarships and Catholic school tuition grants are sent directly to the school the student is attending. If the student is not enrolled the scholarship/grant is returned to the society. Communications grants are awarded to select diocese based on submitted proposals for programs to enrich communications within the diocese. All recipients are required to send a follow up letter detailing how the funds were used. Hearts and Hands is a matching funds program sponsored by the Society to support the fundraising efforts of the courts in their communities. Courts submit applications to the home office for their fundraising event. If the event is approved the Society will match funds raised up to $1,000 per year per court. The court is required to submit a summary form including original receipts and deposit slip to the home office. The matching funds check is then written directly to the organization or trust beneficiary of the fundraiser. Court operating expense grants are issued annually to each active court. The amount sent is based on a set amount per beneficial members of the court. The court is required to file an audit report annually detailing all expenses, receipts and fund balances.

" The following item has been moved from a duty of the National President to the duty of the Executive Committee: "May employ any employee and agent as deemed in the best interest of the Society and fix their compensation subject to statutory limitations." There have been two new items added to the duties of the Board of Directors: 1)Remove from office any elected officer or director for improper conduct, failure to perform the duties of the office or other good cause upon affirmative votes of eight (8) members of the Board of Directors. 2) Persons removed from office are ineligible to run for office or attend the national convention in the future. The requirement to apply for an issuance of a court (lodge) charter has changed to "...application of twenty-five (25) new members and/or beneficial members..." from "...application of twenty-five (25) persons, twenty (20) of whom shall be new applicants, who are eligible for beneficial membership..."

F990_P06_S0A_L07a	Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a	Each court in good standing, or >30 days old prior to the quadrennial meeting, is entitled to 1 delegate to the quadrennial meeting. Courts with greater than 199 beneficial members are entitled to 2 delegates. The delegates to the quadrennial meeting compose the membership of the supreme governing body. These delegates vote to elect the four officers of the society and seven other board of director members. These 11 members of the Board of Directors act as the governing body of the Society during the interim between meetings of the National Convention.
F990_P06_S0A_L07b	Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	The Articles of Incorporation and the Constitution and Laws may be revised or amended at any regular, adjourned or special meeting of the National Convention by a 2/3 vote of those members present and entitled to vote. The Articles of Incorporation and the Constitution and Laws may be revised or amended during the interim between meetings of the National Convention in the following manner: 1) the Board of Directors, by resolution adopted by a 2/3 vote of its members, may submit any proposal for amendment to a referendum vote of the delegates from the last meeting of the National Convention; 2) a copy of the proposal shall be sent to the address of each Delegate according to the records of the National Secretary. If the records show any delegate to be deceased or disqualified, a copy will be sent to the alternate. The referendum vote shall be taken by mail according to the plan and method approved by the Board of Directors; 3) a proposed amendment shall be adopted upon receiving a 2/3 vote in the affirmative of the ballots received within the time specified by the Board of Directors for counting the ballots. The amendment shall become effective on the date the ballots are counted unless a different effective date is specified in the proposal.

F990_P06_S0B_L15	Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15	Prior to each meeting of the National Convention, the National President appoints the members of the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee makes their recommendation on the compensation for the elected officials to the delegates from the last meeting of the National Convention. The Finance Committee determines the proposed compensation based on a scale using a point system assigned to credentials, experience and society leadership and service. The current process of determining officer compensation is under review. The process for determining compensation for other officers is the same as that for determining compensation for the top official, the National President. There are currently no key employees.
