What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The primary mission of this Organization is to provide service and assistance to members and former members of the Armed Forces. Also to sponsor various activities in its community that are of a benefit to members of the community.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Post ministers to all Veterans by visiting Veterans in hospitals, nursing homes, and other similar facilities, both Post Members and Non-Members. The Post also contributes financial and non-financial assistance to Disabled Veterans and Non-Disabled Veterans in need, both Members and Non-Members. Post Members visit local cemeteries and place U. S. Flags on the graves of Veterans each Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. The Post supports the American Legion's Boys State and Girls State programs, which are designed to educate and train future leaders. The Post sponsors young people from its community to attend these programs.
