What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To advance the economic, professional, cultural and civic welfare in Alamo, CA, and to encourage the growth of existing retail, commercial and professional businesses, and to promote and encourage the establishment of new businesses in the community.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 In 2012/2013, the Chamber provided Membership Directories to all Members and to thousands of members of the Alamo community, while offering monthly social and networking meetings to all business members. We added approximately 15 new members during the year, and helped conduct the Alamo Musical Festival, the Alamo Holiday Tree Lighting, the Chamber Trade Show and the Alamo Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner and Crab Feed. We also awarded two (2) $1,000 Scholarship[s to two high school seniors in local high schools through our affiliated Alamo Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
