	The following are our key accomplishments during 2012:Americas Agenda: Healthcare for All advocacy for greater labor union and union employer participation in sponsorship of Coops in state exchanges under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) led from federal adoption of rules to enable union and Taft-Hartley health plan sponsorship of Coops to direct assistance and support to union efforts to receive HHS-administered Coop grant awards. We built on this work over the course of 2012 by providing assistance in development of an HHS proposal to establish a non-profit ACA COOP for Northern California that incorporates an Americas Agenda-developed strategy for quality-improvement and cost-reduction based on deployment of advanced primary care delivery and coordination of overall care.The Caifornia Healthcare Education Advocay and Responsibility Team or HEART campaign to advocate design of a smart health insurance exchange, launced in 2011, mounted a substantial public education and policy advocacy media campaign in 2012. It began with a media launch in the State Capitol in March 2012, electronic dissemination of video messages (see some at www.heartCA.org), press releases, and garnering of pring media coverage. Over the course of the year, participation in the campaign expanded to include a substantial number of diverse statewide California organizations including labor unions, union employers, healthcare providers, health insurance plans, medical associations, and patient groups. As a result, the CA Exchange Board adopted a several HEART policy recommendations. Americas Agenda: Healthcare for All has launched a program to actively engage jointly-governed labor and employer Taft-Hartley health and welfare funds in new strategies that apply principles of transformative public health care reform policy to transformation of care delivery in non-profit employment based health plans jointly governed by labor unions and their employers. These strategies will reorient these employment-based health plans from internal focus on benefits redesign to reducing their costs through a new focus on re-engineering care delivery to their members, adoption of new healthcare coordination and delivery models, and broadening public access on a regional basis. Initial pilots were launched in Ohio and Northern California.
