Part X	Part X : FIN48 Footnote	Effective April 1, 2009, in accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, the Management Council determines whether a tax position of the Management Council is more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the applicable taxing authority, including the resolution of any related appeals or litigation processes, based on the technical merits of the position. The Management Council reviews and evaluates tax positions in its major jurisdictions and determines whether or not there are uncertain tax positions that require financial statement recognition and the recording of a tax liability. Based on this review, the Management Council has determined that the adoption of the guidance for uncertainty in income taxes had no impact on its financial statements. The Management Council had no unrecognized tax benefits and, consequently, had no accrued interest and penalties thereto as of April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011.
