Due to the unexpected resignation of our association's long-time executive director, our Board of Directors assumed day-to-day management of the organization in fall 2012. This included overseeing all aspects of our financial reporting. Poor record-keeping by our former executive director made it extremely difficult for us to accurately complete a filing for our most recent fiscal year. Thus, this process took much longer than planned. It was an oversight on our part to not formally request a late filing date from the IRS while we were in the process of completing this return and we accept full responsibility for this error.
