What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? BIOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION PROMOTES THE ART AND CRAFT OF BIOGRAPHY AND SEEKS TO FURTHER THE PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF ITS PRACTITIONERS. IT DOES THIS THROUGH ITS NEWSLETTER, ANNUAL CONFERENCES AND WEBSITE.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 IN 2012 BIOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION HELD ITS THIRD ANNUAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SEVERAL DAYS OF EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND PANELS DEDICATED TO THE ART AND CRAFT OF BIOGRAPHY. THE CONFERENCE, HELD ON THE CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, INCLUDED VISITS TO MAJOR ARCHIVES AND LIBRARIES IN THE LOS ANGELES REGION. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO MET ITS MISSION OF FURTHERING THE PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF BIOGRAPHERS THROUGH ITS MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, NOW IN ITS SEVENTH YEAR, AND BY THE ENHANCEMENT OF ITS WEBSITE THAT INCLUDES MANY USEFUL RESOURCES.
