Part X	Part X : FIN48 Footnote	The Society is exempt from income tax under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, under certain Internal Revenue Code regulations, profitable, unrelated business income is subject to federal and state income tax. Such income arises from advertising in the Societys newsletter and directory of medical service providers and through fees charged to related organizations for administrative and accounting services. The Organization is no longer subject to income tax examinations by taxing authorities for tax years ending on or before May 31, 2009. The Organizations management has determined that there are no events that would more likely than not cause the above tax position to change within the next twelve months.
