Facts And Circumstances Test
Part II, Line 17a--2012 was the fourth year out of the last six years the institute for mobility and longevity, Inc. (IML) dropped below the 33 1/3% public support revenue base test. IML was formed and continues to be organized and operated in a manner to attract new and additional public support on a continuous basis. IML maintains a continuous and bona fide program for the solicitation of funds from the general public and community and carries on activities designed to attract support from other charitable organizations. As in previous years, during 2012 IML advertised, engaged in outreach initiatives, and sent out numerous charitable campaign mailings adhering to its organizational and operational principles. IML believes the level of support from the above referenced outlets was significantly affected by the slowdown in the economy and the continued, devastating long term effects of the Bernard Madoff Scandal in Palm Beach County, FL. IML meets the 10% facts and circumstances test for 2009 through 2012. For the years immediately prior to 2009, IML met the 33 1/3% support test and the attraction of public support requirement on an aggregate basis and satisfies a significant combination of the five public support factors. The foundation currently continues in earnest its bids for public support of its research and advocacy despite the challenges presented by the current regional and national economic environment. IML is expecting more public contributions in coming year.
