What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The primary purpose of International Association of Firefighters Local 1850 is to provide firefighters in the Chapter area support as mediators between firefighters and their employers, local and state wide. Local 1850 provides updates to members on International, State and local levels the legislation that will impact the profession and other related issues with special consideration of the well being of the general public. Local 1850 also maintains a leadership role in regulatory matters of training and safety. Local 1850 is active in its community and hosts an annual fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy Association.
