It's our largest event-specific promotion campaign including outside media, public relations and print/distribution partners. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Public Relations- Activities which enhance and promote the profession of architecture within the community at large. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Legislative - AIA MN retains legal representation to lobby the legislature on issues that pertain to the licensing of architects and related professionals, the legal definition of architecture and the services that architects provide, and the pervention of a sales tax on architectural services. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO STIMULATE CREATIVE THINKING ABOUT THE DESIGN INDUSTRY AND TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT CHANGES IN TECHNOLOGY AND CODES WHICH APPLY TO ARCHITECTURE. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Documents- AIA MN sells AIA contract documents to members and the general public. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Affordable Housing AIA Minnesota looks to improve the visibility and stature of affordable housing design to increase public support of affordable housing, recognize design and development teams and affordable housing organizations that have designed excellent, affordable housing projects, and encourage a broad understanding of how financing mechanisms, cost, diverse client populations, and community-based design processes contribute to a completed work of architecture. |
