THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS CONSIDERS FUNDING REQUESTS FOR EXTRAORDINARY NEEDS OF THE HOSPITAL'S DEPARTMENTS SIX TIMES PER YEAR. IN 2012 THE MCKEE FOUNDATION PURCHASED A NEW VAN FOR CULINARY SERVICES TO SERVE THE STEPPING STONES PROGRAM, PROVIDED INITIATIVE FUNDS FOR COCI, FUNDED FIVE HEALTH CARE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ADULT LEARNERS, PROVIDED LIFELINE SERVICE TO SENIORS LIVING ALONE, SUPPORTED BREAST CANCER PATIENTS WITH DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND "BRIDGE" FUNDS, ASSISTED MCKEE EMPLOYEES WITH EMERGENCY FUNDS IN TIMES OF SEVERE NEED, AND PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS FOR PEDIATRIC REHABILITATION PATIENTS, AMONG OTHER DISTRIBUTIONS. THE MCKEE FOUNDATION IS CONDUCTING A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE MCKEE STEPPING STONES ADULT DAY PROGRAM. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO RAISE 1.3 MILLION TO PROVIDE 6,500 SQUARE FEET OF NEW SPACE TO SERVE 70% MORE PROGRAM PATIENTS WITH APPROPRIATE ADULT DAY CARE EQUIPMENT, SOCIAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES, AND FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAMS. FUNDS WILL BE RAISED FROM THE COMMUNITY, FOUNDATION GRANTS, CORPORATE AND BUSINESS SPONSORS, PATIENT FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF MCKEE. THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN IS A JOINT PROJECT WITH THE LOVELAND COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, WHICH IS LOCATED WITHIN AN ENTERPRISE ZONE IN LOVELAND, COLORADO.
