What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To recommend to the fire equipment industry such trade policies and practices as will stabilize the industry and protect the public interest. And to eliminate such practices which cause injury to the industry and to the public interest. To gather and disseminate information and ideas which will improve the State's fire protection and increase the competence of the fire equipment industry. Each member of this Association acknowledges the responsibility interest in the sale and maintenance of fire protection equipment distributed by it and pledges to perform its work and service its customers with the high degree of honesty, skill and integrity that such responsibility infers. To cooperate with governmental agencies, organizations and officials, as well as insurance organizations, in the furtherance of the objectives of GAFSED and the public.To further the joint interest of and to build good will between distributors, dealers and manufacturers of the fire equipment industry.To gather inf

28 2012 was another active and successful year for GAFSED. Our accomplishments included:- Providing six state approved classes for our membership and the industry in Georgia.- Providing a state approved class for the Georgia Fire Inspectors Association.- Promoted GAFSED and participated in the Georgia Fire Chiefs Association April 2012 conference in Savannah.- Made a donation to the Southeastern Burn Foundation rodeo fund raiser.- Participated in national discussions with other state industry associations.- Supported the Georgia Fire Symposium Committee during their July 2012 event.- Supported/sponsored the Georgia Fire Inspectors golf tournament fund raiser.- Supported/sponsored the Georgia Fire Symposium evening fish, chicken fry for over 350 attendees.- Held the second annual Randy Carlisle Memorial Golf Tournament raising over 2500.00 for the Georgia Fire Fighters Burn Foundation.- Held our Annual Conference at the Desoto Hilton in Savannah Georgia October 12-14 2012.
