	Annual Clinical Meeting - Each year, the Academy holds an annual clinical meeting, which is attended by 700-1500 clinicians. The annual clinical meeting offers state-of-the-art presentations by leaders in the field of pain management that address pain conditions, treatment options, and ethical and legal issues related to the management of pain. The meeting provides an opportunity for clinicians to earn continuing education credits. In addition, attendees learn about new products and services in the exhibit hall.

	Publications - The Academy offers members, and others practicing in the field of pain management, two regular publications: The Pain Practitioner, a quarterly magazine (sent to 10,000 clinicians) that offers practical interdisciplinary/integrative pain management information; and Currents: Pain Management News and Research, a monthly e-newsletter, which is sent to over 65,000 clinicians. Currents is the nation's leading source of pain management news and research in the nation. In addition, the Academy offers a textbook, Pain Management: A Practical Guide for Clinicians (7th Edition). The textbook presents a complete, state-of-the-art evalatuion of multidisciplinary pain diagnosis, treatment and management, includes contributions from over 100 pain management experts, and covers both traditional and alternative techniques and treatments.

Academy members include physicians, nurses, psychologists, dentists, pharmacists, among many others. Members benefits include: access to the Academy's Credentialing program, publications (such as The Pain Practitioner and Currents: Pain Management News and Research; a listing on the Academy's website; access to on-line education, reduced registration fees for the annual meeting, and networking opportunities.
