The American Legion Department of Colorado (American Legion) had 20,306 members at the end of the year. During the year the American Legion holds two major conventions/conferences for its members as well as other events and conferences throughout the year. These conferences and events provide education and information on specific topics of Americanism and determine Legion policy. The American Legion published the Colorado Legionnaire and the Observer only once during the year since it is available on their web site. A total of $346,597 was spent on conferences, the Observer, printing and payments to affiliates for the members.

The Sons of the American Legion's main purpose is to support the American Legion. They help support veterans and their families while working hand in hand with the American Legion Family on the many programs and projects, which are geared to help veterans and their families, our nations youth and our communities.
