Briefly describe the organization’s mission: To advance the arts and sciences of radio communications and control, and the orderly and efficient allocation and utilization of the elctromagnetic spectrum, as connected or employed in aeronautical and space flight, evaluation of vehicles, spacecraft, related devices or major components thereof or as may otherwise affect the interest of the aerospace industry.

	Legal council/research activities - protection of flight test frequencies against interference from other operations; representation of aerospace manufacturers interests in preserving spectrum allocated for flight testing; coordination with State Department, FCC, Department of Commerce for US - Canadian Bi-Lateral agreements for flight test frequencies; coordination with Department of Defense and National Telecommunications Agency regarding spectrum reallocations associated with legislation. These activities benefited the membership, the flight test community, manufacturers of aircraft and their major components and the aviation industry.
