TELLING CEO ANGELA BRALY AND THE COMPANY'S BOARD MEMBERS TO STOP USING POLICY HOLDER PREMIUMS TO SECRETLY FUND EFFORTS AGAINST COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND STOP SUPPORTING AMERICAN LEGISLATIVE EXCHANGE COUNCIL (ALEC) CAUSES AND LEGISLATORS. CIJWJ HELPED ORGANIZE AN INSIDE/OUTSIDE STRATEGY FOR THE SHAREHOLDER MEETING BY MOBILIZING A ONE HUNDRED PERSON MARCH AND STREET THEATER OUTSIDE OF THE SHAREHOLDER MEETING WHILE WORKERS WITH SHARES WENT INSIDE TO DISRUPT THE MEETING. IN THE EPISODE OF STREET THEATER, UNION REPRESENTATIVES AND OTHER PROTESTORS MARCHED AND CHANTED ANTI WELLPOINT SLOGANS. WELLPOINT "TOXIC MONEY" WAS DROPPED FROM A SEVEN FOOT BALLOON WHILE PROTESTORS IN HAZ-MAT SUITS SWEPT IT UP AND OTHERS STOOD IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING IN WHICH THE MEETING WAS TAKING PLACE WITH CRIME SCENE TAPE TO "QUARANTINE" WELLPOINT. THE MESSAGE ABOUT WELLPOINT'S LONG HISTORY OF SECRET SPENDING DID NOT GO UNNOTICED IN DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS AND WAS REPORTED EXTENSIVELY IN THE CITY'S MEDIA OUTLETS.

EDUCATION & ORGANIZING FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE 2: SOCIAL JUSTICE IN SUMMER 2012, CIJWJ ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP RIGHTS FOR MUNICIPAL WORKERS IN INDIANAPOLIS. 50 PEOPLE CAME TO THE CITY-COUNTY COUNCIL HEARING ON THE PROPOSAL. THE MEASURE WAS PASSED BY THE CITY-COUNTY COUNCIL AND SIGNED INTO LAW BY THE MAYOR. CENTRAL INDIANA JOBS WITH JUSTICE GREW ITS ORGANIZATION IN 2012 BY ADDING TWO NEW MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS.
