	The union represents approximately 4,035 health care workers at Kaiser and Providence Facilities in the greater Portland, Oregon area. The union employed full-time staff to serve members needs and to provide representation in accordance with collective bargaining agreements. The local keeps members informed about workplace issues and labor management relations through meetings, publications, etc. The union also provides legal assistance and increases membership through recruiting prospective members and organizing new bargaining units. The local negotiates contracts for members through the collective bargaining process.

In general, the federal information returns have a three year statute of limitations. OFN #5017 files as a tax-exempt organization. Should that status be challenged in the future, OFN #5017s 2011, 2010 and 2009 tax years are open for examination by the Internal Revenue Service. OFN #5017 would recognize accrued interest and penalties association with uncertain tax provisions, if any, as part of the income tax provision.
