What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Promote the best interest of the community of Green Valley, Arizona as a retirement community of older adults, and to represent the interests of the community to County, State and Federal bodies and agencies.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Council sends representatives to meet with the Pima County Board of Supervisors and other County and State agencies. The Council represents the unincorporated community by expressing the interests of the resident members by fostering and encouraging whatever appears to be for the good of the community and opposing whatever appears to be detrimental to the community. The Council also sponsors the publication of the annual Green Valley Directory. Approximately 33,000 copies are delivered by volunteers to the homes, businesses, and community service agencies. The Council was instrumental in securing funding for public transportation for the unincorporated area of Green Valley, Arizona.
