| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | Form 990, Part III, Line 4d: Other Program Services Description | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Executive Tours The Council sponsors special in-town and out-of-town Executive Tours for its senior subject matter expert members. In 2012, Council members visited and were briefed at the ATF Headquarters, the Pentagon Force Protection Agencys Emergency Operations Center, and went to the New York/New Jersey region to meet with state and local officials on emergency preparedness and Southern Florida federal facilities to discuss maritime and airport security in the region. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Additional Programs/Initiatives The Council has an active Thought Leadership Committees with specific-issue workgroups/initiatives and coordinates a Public Policy Initiative that invites Members of Congress and senior congressional staff to brief the members. These activities are open to the entire membership. The work of the committees provide the strategic direction, identify the priority issues of concern to our members and offer advice and counsel to the Council staff in their direct dealings with public officials. The Council also produces and electronically distributes a weekly News Roundup and monthly Newsletter to its members. The Council also compiled, printed and distributed its complete Compendium on its previous year's "9-10-11 Project" focusing on the role the private sector has played over the previous decade since 9/11. The Compendium was distributed to all appropriate Members of Congress, campaign policy staff, community leaders and critical administration officials. |
