What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purpose of the organization is to organize and operate the Ky Apple Festival of Johnson County, which includes booths of church & civic organizations, music shows, beauty contests, coutume contests, a parade, flea market, and arts & crafts.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Kentucky Apple Festival is held the first weekend in October and attracts an estimated 50,000 to 100,000 visitors to Paintsville and Johnson County. Over twenty local church and civic organizations benefit from the proceeds of their concession booths which is estimated to exceed $100,000 annually. Local merchants and lodging establishments also benefit from the influx of people for this event. The event is a showcase for all local attractions and provides year round tourism benefits.
