OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: The Agency provides counseling services regarding marriage, premarital, family, child-parent, group, individual, aged, pastoral and financial counseling. Through family support, people are helped to work through problems and find solutions using community resources, interaction with a social worker, and solution based problem solving. This program includes outreach grief and stress groups at various locations as well as education regarding bullying at a local elementary school. The Agency handled 550 cases which encompassed 1,300 hours of service and served over 1,605 individuals. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: The Agency provides financial assistance in the form of distribution of funds to the the unemployed and low income for the payment of rent, food, utilities and emergency prescriptions. This includes the P.A.T.H. and C.O.A.C.H. programs for Homeless Outreach, along with housing counseling. This program assisted 4,265 families encompassing 8,140 family members. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: The Agency provides an emergency shelter for up to 30 days for women who are victims of domestic violence and their children. The women and children receive counseling, case management, legal advocacy and transportation if needed. Other services provided are: supervised visitation, hospital advocacy, 24 hour telephone crisis line and community education and outreach. This program provided 30 adults and 27 children with 607 shelter nights. Over 2,200 individuals received other services. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: The Agency assists families in danger of foreclosure of their homes, provides pre and post purchase housing counseling through their Housing Counseling Program. 365 households were assisted.
