What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE MISSION OF CUSTOM KNIFE COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION, LLC (CKCA), IS TO ESTABLISH THE ARTISTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF HANDMADE KNIVES, PROMOTE CUSTOM KNIFE COLLECTING AND SUPPORT CREATIVE EXPRESSION IN THOSE WHO DESIGN AND MAKE CUSTOM KNIVES.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 CKCA HOSTS A CUTLERY CHALLENGE (GRANT BASED CUSTOM KNIFE DESIGN AND CRAFTING COMPETITION), KNIFE DONATION BENEFIT FOR CANCER, A KNIFE/ART/VENDOR SHOW, AND ANNUAL MEMBER BANQUET. THE GOALS OF EACH ACTIVITY ARE TO INCREASE AWARENESS AND ACCEPTANCE OF CUSTOM KNIVES AS A RESPECTED AND APPRECIATED ART FORM, AS WELL AS TO ENCOURAGE AND MENTOR NEW CUSTOM KNIFE MAKERS AND COLLECTORS. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES AND VENUES, CKCA HOPES TO CULTIVATE OPEN DIALOGUE BETWEEN CUSTOM KNIFE COLLECTORS AND MAKERS REGARDING EDUCATION, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, AND SOUND BUSINESS PRACTICES.
