Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Online Trust Alliance (OTA) is a non-profit with the mission to enhance online trust, while promoting innovation and the vitality of the internet. OTA's goal is to help educate businesses, policy makers and stakeholders while developing and advancing best practices and tools to enhance the protection of users' security, privacy and identity. OTA supports collaborative public-private partnerships, benchmark reporting, meaningful self-regulation and data stewardship.

	FORUMS: 2012 Annual Online Trust Forum - In October 2012, OTA hosted the 7th annual forum in San Jose California attracting over 250 attendees and speakers from the private and public sectors. Key focus of the three day program included online security, privacy, brand and identity protection. This event included full-day post Forum workshops and training on email security, anti-malvertising and anti-botnet multi-stakeholder efforts.2013 Data Privacy Day - OTA hosted an educational Town Hall in collaboration with the Federal Trade Commission, FBI, US Secret Service and the Better Business Bureau. Events were hosted in NY, Seattle and San Francisco. A key deliverable was the 2013 Data Breach and Incident Loss Readiness Guide. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: 2013 Online Trust Honor Roll & Online Trust Audit - the 2013 report was greatly expanded including a composite analysis of 10 attributes and 300 possible points, identifying and recognizing ecommerce, banking and government websites that have adopted key technologies and business practices to help protect consumer privacy and security. This report was announced at the Internet Retailer Conference in Chicago in June 2013. PUBLIC POLICY: Responding to government inquiries, request for public comment and outreach from congressional staff. OTA provides expert testimony and input on issues relevant to online trust and data stewardship. In addition government agencies have requested OTA participate in an advisory capacity on boards, councils and multi-stakeholder initiatives to help address technical issues and online threats.TRAINING AND EDUCATION: As a public service OTA provides a series of webinars open and free to the general public and business community. Such programs are posted on the OTA website and made available through a no-charge newsletter OTA mails monthly to over 2,500 individuals and companies who have signed up for mailings.OTA Training Academies - This past year OTA hosted several training programs and workshops. Academies were hosted in Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco and San Diego. These trainings provided intensive instruction to businesses on topics such as email authentication, anti-botnet detection and mobile privacy application guidelines.OTA Educational Webinars - In the past year OTA hosted 21 educational webinars on topics such as data breach prevention and readiness planning, anti-malvertising, privacy enhancing best practices, email security, domain authentication and mobile device security, and supply chain security.OTHER ACTIVITIES: OTA has supported data sharing and collaboration working closely with US Government Agencies including the FBI, US Department of Commerce, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission.
