    1 Early Learning Venture Fund: This is a shared services infrastructure for the early childhood education sector to promote effective governance, high standards of program quality, professional competence, operational efficiency, as well as financial sustainability. The objective is to strengthen overall business operations, and allow the child care providers to spend more time in the classroom. ELV provided support and oversight to its partners while continuing to research and develop the model and policies. This effort involved ELV staff providing technical assistance, business planning, and resource development. There are currently Alliances launched in Colorado Springs, Arapahoe County, and Broomfield. More are under development in the Denver area and Summit County. 840,331
    2 Healthy Options for Preschoolers: ELV is promoting and expanding access to healthy meals and snacks for preschool aged children who are enrolled in a child care center that is part of the ELV Alliance. Through its partnership with the Colorado Health Foundation and Revolution Foods, ELV plans to increase the number of children who eat adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables daily and increase the number of children who receive healthy meals in the center and home-base child care settings. During the three-year pilot phase, healthy meals and snacks will be provided to more than 3,500 children. 107,734
