Explanation:

The volunteer members of our board turn over every year and in many cases do not have a great deal of sophistication when it comes to ensuring that the annual tax forms are filed on a timely basis. Our group meets to plan an annual conference and training for municipal clerks for the entire State of Alaska. Due to geograpical challenges we did not meet as a group until after the filing date of the 990. Once we identified the over sight we took care of the requirement as soon as possible.
