This Form 990-EZ was extended from its original due date of May 15, 2013, to August 15, 2013. The Board of Directors was entirely new as of April, 2013, and the new officers were unfamiliar with the books, records, and financial reporting requirements. After the return was extended the responsible person thought the new filing deadline was 6 months later. A couple of messages were sent by the tax preparer but to the old Treasurer who was no longer affiiated with the entity. Upon learning of the error, all parties involved moved immediately to prepare the informational tax return and file it without delay. We RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT ANY LATE FILING PENALTY BE ABATED FOR REASONABLE CAUSE and the new Board of Directors be given a chance to fullfill their obligations in the future.
