FIN 48 FOOTNOTE PART X, LINE 2 Accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America require management to evaluate income tax positions taken and accrue an income tax liability if the Federation has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service. Management has evaluated the income tax positions taken and concluded that as of December 31, 2012, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require accrual of a liability in the consolidated financial statements. The Federation is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Management believes that the Federation is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years prior to 2009.
