OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDED IN CARLE HEALTH CARE INCORPORATED ARE THE CARING PLACE, ARROW AMBULANCE, LLC AND AIRLIFE. THE CARING PLACE FOSTERS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE CHILD IN A SAFE, NURTURING, NON-PRESSURED ATMOSPHERE THROUGH PLANNED AND VARIED EXPERIENCES. THE CARING PLACE CURRENTLY HAS 125 CHILDREN ENROLLED WITH 77 BEING CHILDREN OF CARLE EMPLOYEES, WHO RECEIVE A 10% DISCOUNT ON THEIR TUITION. THE CARING PLACE ALSO PARTICIPATES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILD CARE RESOURCE SERVICE'S LOW-INCOME SUBSIDY PROGRAM. IN 2012, THE CARING PLACE ACCEPTED 18 FAMILIES (21 STUDENTS) UNDER THE STATE PROGRAM. ARROW AMBULANCE, LLC PROVIDES EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRANSPORTATION IN THE CHAMPAIGN-URBANA (CU) AREA AND MANY OUTLYING COMMUNITIES. IT HAS OVER 15 EXCLUSIVE SERVICE AGREEMENTS OUTSIDE THE CU AREA SERVICING OVER 1,200 SQUARE MILES. ARROW AMBULANCE, LLC HAS A TOTAL OF 12 AMBULANCES WHICH PROVIDE OVER 11,000 TRANSPORTS PER YEAR. ARROW AMBULANCE, LLC'S HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF IS COMPRISED OF PARAMEDICS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS AND DISPATCHERS. THEY WORK HARD BOTH TO SAVE LIVES IN EMERGENCIES AND PREVENT EMERGENCIES FROM OCCURRING THROUGH EXTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS. IN AN EMERGENCY, ARROW AMBULANCE OFFERS PRE-ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS THROUGH ITS DISPATCH SERVICE, ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT, STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT AND DELIVERY TO THE HOSPITAL OF THE PATIENT'S CHOICE. AIRLIFE, A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN AIR METHODS AND CARLE, PROVIDES COMPLETE AIR MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICES THROUGHOUT EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS. AIRLIFE IS STATIONED AT THE CARLE FOUNDATION HOSPITAL AROUND THE CLOCK WITH A TEAM ON SITE AND READY FOR TAKE-OFF WITHIN MINUTES. THE FLIGHT CREW CONSISTS OF EXPERIENCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL PILOTS, PHYSICIANS, CRITICAL CARE FLIGHT REGISTERED NURSES, NEONATAL NURSES, AND CRITICAL CARE FLIGHT PARAMEDICS.

PART IX, LINE 11G OTHER SERVICES IS COMPRISED LARGELY OF INTERNAL EXPENSE RESULTING IN THE PURCHASE OF SERVICES FROM OTHER RELATED ENTITIES IN THE CARLE FOUNDATION CONSOLIDATED GROUP BY CARLE FOUNDATION PHYSICIAN SERVICES AND CARLE PHYSICIAN GROUP. PART XI, LINE 9 CARLE HEALTH CARE INCORPORATED SETTLED VARIOUS INTERCOMPANY RECEIVABLE/PAYABLE BALANCES THROUGH EQUAL OFFSETTING EQUITY TRANSFERS. THE INTERCOMPANY RECEIVABLE/PAYABLE BALANCE RESULTED FROM THE NORMAL COURSE OF OPERATIONS AND WERE PRIMARILY ATTRIBUTABLE TO CENTRALIZED CASH MANAGEMENT AND DISBURSEMENT ACTIVITIES. THESE INTERCOMPANY RECEIVABLE/PAYABLE SETTLEMENTS HELPED PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING FOR CERTAIN RELATED ORGANIZATIONS TO FURTHER THEIR EXEMPT PURPOSES. PART XII, QUESTION 2B & C AND PART IV, QUESTION 12B THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR CARLE HEALTH CARE INCORPORATED WERE AUDITED ON A CONSOLIDATED BASIS UNDER THE PARENT ORGANIZATION, THE CARLE FOUNDATION. THE CARLE FOUNDATION DOES HAVE AN AUDIT COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BOARD AND THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER WHO TOGETHER ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR OVERSIGHT OF THE AUDIT OF ITS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND SELECTION OF AN INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANT.
