What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE LOUISIANA MORTGAGE LENDERS ASSOCIATION IS A FULL-TIME STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION DEVOTED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE FIELD OF MORTGAGE AND REAL ESTATE FINANCE. THE ASSOCIATION ACTIVELY PROMOTES THE INTERESTS OF THE MORTGAGE LENDING INDUSTRY THROUGH THE WORK OF ITS COMMITTEE SYSTEM, BOARD OF GOVERNORS AND DIRECT INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY. THROUGH ITS COLLECTIVE VOICE, THE ASSOCIATION IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING BUSINESS OPERATING CONDITIONS AND TO SOLVING INDUSTRY-WIDE PROBLEMS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR INDUSTRY WORKERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

28 THE ASSOCIATION HELD THE ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE IN AUGUST 2013 IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA FOR MEMBERS OF THE MORTGAGE LENDING INDUSTRY. OVER 250 PARTICIPANTS FROM AROUND THE STATE ATTENDED THE CONFERENCE, 150 OF THEM COMPLETING THEIR CONTINUING EDUCATION. THE 2014 EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE HAS ALREADY BEEN SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 2014 AND IS ANTICIPATED TO GROW IN THE ATTENDANCE OF MORTGAGE LENDERS.
