What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO PROVIDE FOOD, DRINK, AND ENTERTAINMENT TO CITIZENS OF NORTHEAST IOWA ON THE FOURTH OF JULY AND DURING A BEER AND BARBEQUE TASTING IN THE FALL OF EACH YEAR.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE PURPOSE OF THE INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE, INC. (ICCI) IS TO OVERSEE THE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND THE INDEPENDENCE BREW-B-Q EVENTS, OCURRING IN INDEPENDENCE, IOWA. EACH YEAR THE ICCI PUTS ON A LARGE, THREE DAY 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION.THE CELEBRATION IS COMPLETE WITH LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, A KIDS FUN ZONE, PARADE, VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT, FOOD AND BEVERAGE SALES, AND THE WEEKEND IS ROUNDED OUT BY THE BIGGEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY IN NORTHEAST IOWA.IN THE FALL, THE COMMITTEE ALSO HOSTS A BARBEQUE CONTEST. THERE IS LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AND FOOD AND BEVERAGE SALES ALL DAY LONG DURING THE CONTEST. A BEER TASTING IS HELD WITH OVER 100 LOCAL BEERS TO SAMPLE.
