Realty is a non-profit corporation that was organized to hold title and operate real estate for UFCW Local 880 and UFCW Local 880's associated benefit and activity funds. Realty is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501 (c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. The provisions of "Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes" prescribe a recognition threshold and a measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return.
