	WLCV protects natural resources and public health by working in the Wisconsin Legislature to pass proactive conservation policy and to stop policies that damage our air, land, and water. In 2013 WLCV campaigned (1) in opposition to open-pit mining legislation that threatens to destroy wetlands, deplete groundwater and drinking water supplies, and contaminate lakes and rivers in northern Wisconsin; (2) in opposition (successfully) to legislation that would have limited the authority of regulatory agencies in assessing the overall impact of high-capacity wells on water quality in agricultural areas; (3) in opposition (successfully) to legislation that would have limited the authority of county and municipal governments to regulate the health effects of frac sand mining facilities. WLCV also worked proactively to stop the introduction of legislation that would have impaired the quality of clean water in Wisconsin.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2	Don and Mary Stirling, both members of the Board of Directors, are husband and wife. The two share a single seat on the Board and are entitled to a single vote in Board decision making.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	Form 990 is reviewed and approved by the Executive Director and members of the Audit and Finance Committee prior to filing. A copy of Form 990 is made available to all members of the Board of Directors for review.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c	The Executive Director collects and reviews conflict of interest statements completed by each Board member annually, and communicates any potential conflicts of interest to the individuals involved.
