THEN CLIENTS ARE CONNECTED WITH LOCAL CHURCHES, GAP MINISTRIES, COMMUNITY RESOURCES, AND/OR CHRISTIAN INDIVIDUALS. IN 2013 THE CLEARINGHOUSE DID 202 INTAKES OF WHICH 134 WERE NEW CLIENTS. THOSE CALLS SERVED 265 ADULTS AND 210 CHILDREN. 164 PRAYERS WERE SAID WITH CALLERS AND 27 PASTORAL CONNECTIONS WERE MADE. 27 VOLUNTEERS DONATED 862 HOURS TO THE CLEARINGHOUSE OPERATION.

THE ARE INVOLVED WITH SET UP, TAKE DOWN, SERVING REFRESHMENTS, AND GREETING THE PUBLIC VIEWERS OF THE DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREES. FORM 990, PAGE 1, PART I, LINE 6 THE TRAINED VOLUNTEERS ARE FROM 17 LOCAL CHURCHES. THEY ARE TRAINED TO GIVE A HAND UP INSTEAD OF A HAND OUT. WHEN INVOLVED WITH THE VARIOUS GAP MINISTERIES THEY ARE TO DEVELOPE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THAT NEIGHBOR IN NEED. THAT COULD BE AS LITTLE AS PRAYING WITH THEM AND INVITING THEM TO CHURCH. WHEN DELIVERING FURNITURE THE VOLUNTEERS ARE TRAINED TO HAVE THE CLEINTS HELP WITH MOVING THE FURNITURE INTO THE HOME AND SETTING IT UP. LATER ANOTHER VOLUNTEER FROM THE LINEN MINSISTRY COULD DELIVER SOME LINENS AND HELP THE CLIENT MAKE THE BED, OR DELIVER LAUDRY SOAP AND HELP THE CLIENT DO LAUNDRY. VOLUNTEERS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF LOVE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST MINISTRY. COMING ALONGSIDE OF OUR NIEGHBORS IN NEED TO GIVE THEM A HAND UP AND NOT A HAND OUT. MODELING A CHRIST LIKE LOVE.
FORM 990, PAGE 2, PART III, LINE 2 YOUTH OVERNIGHT: THIS IS AN EVENT TO EXPOSE AND TRAIN YOUTH TO GIVE OF THEMSELVES. THE LOCAL CHURCH YOUTH GROUPS ARE INVITED TO SPEND A NIGHT OF FUN, PIZZA, BIBLICAL APPLICATIONS TO SERVING, AND A LITTLE SLEEP. THE NEXT MORNING THEY ARE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO DO COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND FINISH OFF WITH A PICNIC LUNCH IN THE PARK. 50 YOUTH ATTENDED AND DONATIONED 100 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THE LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES AND NURSING HOMES. STORM CLEAN-UP: AN ICE STORM IN APRIL CREATED A LOT OF POWER OUTAGES AND DOWNED TREES FOR THE CITY OF WORTHINGTON. WE WERE ABLE TO HELP LOCAL CHURCH COORDINATE VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH CLEANING UP IN THE COMMUNITY AND NIEGHBORS IN NEED. A TOTAL OF 204 HOURS FROM OVER 50 VOLUNTEERS WERE DONATED. TRANSFORMATIONAL MINISTRY: PLANS ARE TO MOBLIZE THE CHURCHES TO TRANSFORM LIVES THRU TEACHING EDUCATION CLASSES ON LIFE SKILLS. THRU THESE CLASS THE CHURCH VOLUTEERS WILL BE FORMING RELATIONSHIPS BY MENORING THOSE IN NEED. THESE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE CHURCH AND VOLUTEERS WILL BE TRANSFORMING LIVES.
FORM 990, PAGE 2, PART III, LINE 4D CHRISTMAS TREE FOREST: CHRISTMAS TREES ARE DECORATER BUY LOCAL BUSINESSES, WHICH CAN BE DONATED IF THEY WISH. ALL DONATED TREES ARE GIVEN TO NEIGHBORS IN NEED. BEFORE THE CLIENT CAN RECEIVE A DONATED DECORATED TREE THE NEIGHBOR IN NEED MUST VOLUNTEER SOME WORKING HOURS AT THE CHRISTMAS TREE FOREST. THE ARE INVOLVED WITH SET UP, TAKE DOWN, SERVING REFRESHMENTS, AND GREETING THE PUBLIC VIEWERS OF THE DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREES. THIS HELPS BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AND HELPS WITH THE TEACHING OF HAND UP INSTEAD OF HAND OUT.
