What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE CHAPTER MEETINGS AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAMS PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, CURRENT TECHNOLOGY, AND OTHER INDUSTRY RELATED INFORMATION AND PRESENTATIONS GIVEN BY INDUSTRY EXPERTS. THE GOLF TOURNAMENT ENABLED PRATICIPANTS FROM MANY AREAS OF THE COUNTRY TO DEVELOP CONTACTS FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, CURRENT TECHNOLOGY, AND OTHER INDUSTRY-RELATED INFORMATION. THE TOURNAMENT WAS OPEN TO NON-MEMBERS AS WELL AS MEMBERS. THE FIN, FEATHER, FUR FESTIVAL PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE GENERAL UNITY WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS THE INDUSTRY IN A LESS FORMAL ATMOSPHERE THAN THE TECHNICAL PROGRAMS ALLOW. THE FESTIVAL IS ALSO USED TO PROMOTE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP. THE FESTIVAL WAS OPEN TO NON-MEMBERS AS WELL AS MEMBERS. THE TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM IS AN ALL-DAY FORUM TO PROVIDE INDUSTRY EXPERTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT IN-DEPTH COVERAGE OF CURRENT, INDUSTRY RELATED TOPICS AND THE LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES. THE SYMPOSIUM WAS OPEN TO MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS.
