THE MISSION OF THE HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF ORANGE COUNTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS TO COMPLEMENT THE ORANGE COUNTY HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S WORK IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BY SUPPORTING ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION THROUGHOUT ORANGE COUNTY. WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY BY OFFERING PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH WHICH PROMOTE EDUCATION, ENCOURAGE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PROVIDE LEADERSHIP TRAINING.

YOUTH CHAMBER PROGRAM-OVER 260 COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROGRAMS. SOME OF OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE SIX ROUND TABLE SEMINARS ON TOPICS RANGING FROM BUSINESS ETIQUETTE, NETWORKING AND RESUME BUILDING, MOCK INTERVIEWS ETC. WE PROVIDE GUEST SPEAKERS THAT DISCUSS THE CONCERNS OF THE STUDENTS AND THEIR FUTURE EMPLOYMENT. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENTS SOME EXPOSURE TO THE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY AND GUIDE THEM TO INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY. THESE PROGRAMS AND INTERNSHIPS PROVIDE THE STUDENTS WITH ACTUAL WORK EXPOSURE IN THEIR FIELDS OF STUDY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDED SEVEN SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE YOUTH CHAMBER PROGRAM.

CAREER CLUB FORUM-THIS PROGRAM INVOLVES 9 HIGH SCHOOLS IN ORANGE COUNTY. THE PROGRAM ASSISTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THESE CAREER CLUBS EXPOSURE TO PROFESSIONS AND BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS VARIOUS HIGH SCHOOLS IN ORANGE COUNTY WORKING WITH TEACHERS WHO ASSIST IN FORMING CAREER CLUBS AND PROVIDE THE STUDENTS WITH THE INFORMATION TO ACHIEVE THEIR CAREER GOALS. THE PROGRAM AWARDS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDENTS IN EACH PARTICIPATING HIGH SCHOOL CAREER CLUB.
