2014 CONVENTIONFURRY WEEKEND ATLANTA 2014 IS OUR BIGGEST AND BEST YET. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 2,488 ENTHUSIASTS IN ATTENDANCE. AT THE PEAK OF OUR REGISTRATION, OUR STAFF WERE MOVING THROUGH ONE PERSON EVERY 4.3 SECONDS!THE FURSUIT PARADEFOR THE FURSUIT PARADE COUNT ALONE, THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 415 PARTICIPANTS. OVER 7,000 PEOPLE TUNED IN TO WATCH THE FURSUIT DANCE COMPETITION VIA LIVE STREAM WHICH IN TURN CAUSED OUR WEBSITE TO CRASH! WE RAISED APPROXIMATELY $20,000 FOR OUR CONVENTION CHARITY,CONSERVATORS' CENTER INC (CCI),A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PRESERVES THREATENED SPECIES THROUGH RESCUING WILDLIFE IN NEED, RESPONSIBLE CAPTIVE BREEDING, AND PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SUPPORT WORLDWIDE. THIS DONATION WAS RAISED DIRECTLY BY FURRY WEEKEND ATLANTA. MISSION STATEMENTTHE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO OPERATE A YEARLY CONVENTION IN ORDER TO BRING TOGETHER THOSE LOVERS OF ANTHROPOMORPHICS FROM NEAR AND FAR, IN A RELAXED SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE WHERE ALL MAY FEEL WELCOME.
