INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMSThe Unstoppable Foundation's (UF) education and holistic community development has been changing lives in the three countries - Kenya, Liberia and Uganda. Since 2009, we have been actively participating in the transformation of 9 communities in Kenya, 3 communities in Uganda and 2 communities in Liberia, impacting over 27,498 men, women and children. The UFs Sponsor a Village (SAV) proven international development model is based on a 5-Pillar development model that incorporates everything crucial to lifting communities from poverty and removing obstacles to educating children. The SAV model not only builds schools, but provides the entire community with access to clean water and sanitation, food and nutrition, health-care, and alternative income training for parents. The UF works hand in hand with proven implementing partners with established track records to administer, monitor, and complete our projects utilizing the SAV model. UF IMPACT THROUGH 201327,498 Overall Community Impact3 Countries14 Communities in Africa6,026 Students Getting Daily Access to Education52 Primary School Houses2 Secondary Schools for Girls2 Dormitories for Girls3,012 Adults Educated to Earn an Income17,285 People Given Access to Clean Water, Sanitation and Health-care2013 IMPACT - KENYAWe have expanded our partnership with Free the Children, our implementing partner in Kenya, who administers our programs with the Kipsigis, Maasai and Kisii communities in the Maasai Mara. This region has the highest primary school dropout rate in Kenya and our SAV development model has resulted in increased enrollment, increased rates of graduation and improved academic achievement. The UFs investments in education has already created significant change within this region while maintaining a strong focus as we ensure that SAV communities continue to gain access to the resources necessary to build infrastructure that will lead towards sustainability.EXISTING COMMUNITY EXPANSIONIn 2013, 7 existing UF communities participated in the continued implementation of the SAV 5-pillar model as well as the expansion of 11 new villages in the following communities:1.Emori joi2.Pimbiniet3.Osenetoi 1 new village4.Mwangaza 3 new villages5.Eor Euwaso 2 new villages6.Ngosuani 4 villages7.Kipsongol 1 villagePRIMARY EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTSUF provides the resources for each of these communities to build classrooms, libraries, teacher training, extracurricular activities, books, and basic school supplies -- everything a community needs to make the dream of education a reality. Through year-end 2013, we have built 52 schoolhouses providing education to more than 6,000 children every day. In 2013, UF provided for the construction, completion and outfitting of 11 new schoolhouses in the above existing communities and construction has begun on an additional 6 schoolhouses in 2 new communities. In 2013, four of the UF communities in Kenya were recognized through the country-wide Kenya School Pride Program for their extraordinary commitment to teaching and education. In addition, the School Pride Program recognized that the teachers in our communities have provided a level and quality of teaching that far exceeds what is required, and is demonstrated by the amount of time spent by the teachers outside of regular school hours to support students. The UF sponsored schools participated in national examinations and had some of the highest scores on record of all nationally ranked SAV schools in Kenya, an incredible achievement!CLEAN WATER UF provides resources to implement essential clean water and sanitation projects including installation of hand pumps, community boreholes, wells, hand washing stations, rain catchment systems and latrines, that increase the overall quality of life for children and the entire communities. As new UF schoolhouses continue to be built, clean water projects and sanitation education are implemented in tandem. Five UF communities have formed new Water Management Committees to oversee sustainable and equitable sharing of water. Five communities now have existing or newly implemented on-site water catchment systems as well as a water system that provides clean water for the school and the entire community. Eighty-eight percent of the communities now have access to clean water. The 5 community clean water systems have also been instrumental in establishing a drip-irrigation system at all 5 school campus farms in 2013.Within all 7 UF sponsored communities, healthy water usage habits at individual homes have improved and now 91% of households impacted are practicing safer hygiene methods, such as using hand washing stations, pit latrines and showering stations, reducing the overall spread of infectious disease due to poor sanitation. This is an overall improvement up 48% from the prior year. HEALTHUF provides health training and workshops, medical supplies, and access to clinical health-care to the communities we support. To date, we have provided over 5,000 children with regular health check ups via mobile clinic outreach and medications to deworm students attending UF schools. The health pillar of the SAV model provides a variety of systemic solutions by aiming to improve the overall health of community members. A school farm, tended by students, is being implemented in all 7 UF communities and provides nutritious food such as kale for student lunches that are cooked in the community kitchen. Introduction of the drip-irrigation system has resulted in both higher crop yields and reduced costs. Over 40 mobile health clinic visits have been dispatched each month across all 7 communities with more than 2,000 students being regularly dewormed. Most importantly, students have taken ownership of their health and established health and environmental clubs. Eighty-nine percent of households are now practicing healthy habits at home such as hand washing and dish drying.INCOMEThe alternative income and livelihood programs are well established. The goal of this pillar, as with the others, is to make the community economically self-sufficient. To that end, the UF has sponsored financial literacy training thats been delivered to over 75 men and womens groups in all seven communities. In 2013, 600 households participated in a Village Savings and Loans program (VSLA) that allows members to pool resources and take out loans for small businesses. UF currently supports 26 womens alternative income training groups and over 3,500 community members are benefiting from alternative income projects.FOOD AND NUTRITION This past year the UF was able to provide emergency food aid, school gardens and farms, nutrition programs, agricultural training, irrigation and watershed development projects, helping communities access healthy and self-sustaining food sources. Every child in school in our communities receives a warm, nutritious meal.NEW COMMUNITY EXPANSIONBy the end of 2013, over 1,200 additional children now have the opportunity to learn in a healthy and safe environment as the UF has expanded the SAV program to 6 new villages in 2 new communities, Olorien and Rongena. Olorien 4 villagesRongena 2 villagesThese 2 new communities and their members have demonstrated incredible dedication and commitment towards the implementation of the entire SAV model and this dedication is key to successful implementation. The UF looks forward to continuing to strengthen the partnership begun this year with the communities of Rongena and Olorien. Plans are underway to support additional long-term sustainable solutions for both communities. SECONDARY EDUCATIONRecognizing that secondary education provides a greater impact on the lifetime welfare of women than any other level of education, and motivated by the achievement and passion of girls graduating from our primary schools, we have worked with our implementing partner to support 2 secondary schools for girls in Kenya; Kisaruni Secondary School and Oleleshwa Secondary School.KISARUNI SECONDARY SCHOOLKisaruni, our first secondary school for girls, just completed its first year with all 4 grades, freshman to senior classes, filled to capacity with enrollment of a total of 160 girls attending in 2013. The community will be celebrating the first graduating class of 37 students in January 2015.OLELESHWA SECONDARY SCHOOLOleleshwa Secondary School officially opened its doors in March 2013. There are currently 40 freshman and 40 sophomore girls attending. Upon completion in 2016, this all-girls boarding school will be home to 200 young women per year. Over time, this project will empower literally thousands of young women throughout the Maasai Mara.In the future, girls who graduate from the secondary school will be able to build stronger livelihoods through better employment opportunities as a result of higher learning and computer literacy. The chances for them to enter university or college are greater with the support of their families, who are thrilled and

"Every Child Has A Right to Learn is one of our key domestic programs that has been delivered through educational workshops, teleseminars, media and keynote presentations, inspiring men, women and children with the critical mission of providing an education to every child. Our domestic programs build awareness and advocacy for this issue and address the need to provide a holistic approach to international development that addresses the needs of the children, their families and the entire community at large. They also provide the tools and a platform that allow people to become individually or collectively be a part of the solution through the Sponsor a Village and ARightToLearn.org platform. Our Every Child Has A Right to Learn program was delivered to 42 audiences in US, Canada and the UK directly reaching approximately 25,000 people and indirectly reaching over 2.5M people through live-streaming, video, webinars, social media and print articles.
