PROGRESSIVE CREDIT UNION RECEIVED ITS CHARTER IN 1918 FROM THE STATE OF NEW YORK. AT DECEMBER 31, 2013 IT HAD 4,015 MEMBERS HAVING $298,905,075 IN SAVINGS ON DEPOSIT WITH THE CREDIT UNION. IN 2013 THE CREDIT UNION GRANTED 960 LOANS TOTALING $657,178,965 INCLUDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF TAXI MEDALLIONS IN NEW YORK, NEWARK, CHICAGO, PHILADELPHIA, ATLANTA, MIAMI, AND BOSTON. THE CREDIT UNION ALSO GRANTS LOANS TO FINANCE DINERS, LAUNDROMATS, DRY CLEANERS, COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES AND RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGES.
