CAPITAL CAMPAIGN EXPENSE DURING 2013 THE FOUNDATION ENTERED INTO A MUTUAL AGREEMENT WITH A DONOR TO REDUCE THAT DONOR'S CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PLEDGE BY $1,000,000 SO THE DONOR COULD RE-DIRECT THE PLEDGE TO SUPPORT THE LEGACY OF PRESIDENT FORD IN ANOTHER WAY. AS THIS AGREEMENT WAS MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL TO BOTH THE FOUNDATION AND THE DONOR, THIS REDUCTION HAS BEEN RECORDED AS A FUNDRAISING EXPENSE AND IS INCLUDED IN CAPITAL CAMPAIGN EXPENSE ON THE STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONAL EXPENSES.
